For those not fully in the know: Chrissy Teigen and John Legend currently reside in an enviably dope house in Los Angeles once owned by Rihanna. As Teigen revealed during a hilarious chat with Ellen DeGeneres Tuesday, living in a pad once owned by RiRi has its perks, including (but most certainly not limited to) opening up her mail.

"It actually used to be Rihanna's house," Teigen said when DeGeneres asked about the couple's new digs. "I never in my life thought I'd be cool enough to have a Rihanna pad ever. It's hysterical." When DeGeneres grilled Teigen about any cool leftover Rihanna items she may have stumbled upon when moving in, Teigen stayed very on-brand by keeping it very real.

"Trust me, I looked," Teigen said. "The one fun thing that does happen every once in a while is I get a bill of hers. I really want to somehow give it back to her. I tried to bring it to the Grammys but John was like 'No! That doesn't look cool! Please don't. You're embarrassing me.'"

As for the apparent illegality of, you know, straight up opening someone else's mail, Teigen doesn't seem super concerned. "It's my house now!" Teigen said, adding that she's also opened up fan mail and a Bugatti bill for $18. "Can you not? Are we going to edit this? This is why I can never run for president!" For those of us who aren't Chrissy Teigen or Rihanna, however, opening other people's mail is most certainly not a recommended activity.
