"It’s 2015 right now," Oliver says heroically. "I don’t care until it’s the same year as the thing I’m supposed to care about."

If you've somehow managed to completely avoid the bizarre media frenzy surrounding Donald Trump's increasingly baffling presence in American politics, then good for you. The feeling of not knowing exactly which level of assholery Trump has achieved at any given time is, without a doubt, a very rewarding kind of bliss. At any rate, Trump is still a highly publicized participant in the Republican circus. For Last Week Tonight mastermind John Oliver, Trump and company have proven themselves to be little more than a certified bore.

"I couldn’t give less of a shit," Oliver told fellow Daily Show alumnus Stephen Colbert on Wednesday's Late Show. "It’s the 2016 election. And it’s 2015 right now. So I don’t care until we’re in the same year as the thing that I’m supposed to care about. There are plenty of problems in the world that [the candidates] might want to talk about rather than themselves." While Colbert argued that Trump's hair alone is like gifting a comedian with dream material, Oliver remained bravely disinterested.

As for things that Oliver actually cares about, his most recent takedown involved that annoying (and very fake) privacy diatribe you've likely seen floating on or very near your great aunt's Facebook page. In fact, Oliver's takedown was so spot-on, even Mark Zuckerberg liked it:
