Given the 22-episode haul of each, this brings the running total of Simpsons episodes to an astounding 625. As you surely know, The Simpsons stands tall as the longest-running scripted primetime series — having surpassed Gunsmoke just six years ago.
According to EW, the animated classic still draws impressive numbers for Fox — particularly in the terrifying demographic inhabited by males aged 18 to 34.
