Valentine’s Day might be over, but Verzuz is here to bring the love as R&B legends Anthony Hamilton and Musiq Soulchild are set to face off in the live battle event.
Verzuz shared a flyer for the event on their social media page, with premium access available to those who subscribe to the Trillerverzpass.
Originally, Verzuz revealed that this battle would only be available via subscription, to the dismay of many on social media. The account quickly changed that policy to stay true to the free live stream format that has made it as popular as it is. The event will also be happening in person at Avalon Hollywood in Los Angeles.
It’s wild to think that Verzuz has been running for over a year now, to the point where Swizz Beatz and Timbaland are putting together productions like this. Anthony Hamilton and Musiq Soulchild are two R&B giants that have dense catalogs to tap into. Hamilton has won a Grammy, and Soulchild has been nominated for the award over a dozen times. The brand of love R&B music that Soulchild and Hamilton make also complements each other, making for a perfect love day matchup.
