Six months after the release of the Weeknd’s latest studio album Dawn FM, superproducer Mike Dean has blessed fans with an official remix of one of the project’s standout tracks, “Starry Eyes.”

Just prior to the release, Dean was announced as an opener for the Weeknd’s upcoming After Hours Till Dawn stadium tour, which will kick off July 8 in Toronto and wrap in Los Angeles on Sept. 2.

4:20 multi-instrumentalist Dean, who will open for his “Acquainted” collaborator every night of the tour with an “improv synth set,” took to Instagram on Friday to express his excitement about the gig.

“Excited to be opening for my brother @theweeknd with a solo synth set,” he captioned a picture of the tour poster.

Snoh Aalegra and Kaytranada will serve as openers alongside Mike Dean. In addition, fans will have a chance to purchase exclusive tour merch from the legendary producer.

The news arrives just two months after Pigeons & Planes announced its forthcoming compilation album executive produced by Dean.

“Sometimes I’ll just see something on Instagram and I’ll reach out to the person on DM,” he said about the project. “That’s how, like, half the projects probably get started.”
