Lucky Daye has shared his new single “Over,” along with a video featuring a co-starring turn from Jordyn Woods.

In the visual, Daye is overwhelmed by what’s demanded of him as a celebrity—paparazzi, performances—and in the end, it seems like he loses his girl, played by Woods.

At the beginning of the year, Lucky Daye dropped off his EP Table for Two, where each song featured a duet between him and another artist, including Ari Lennox, Yebba, Mahalia, Queen Naija, Tiana Major9, and Joyce Wrice.

In May, Daye released a cover of Marvin Gaye’s “Mercy Mercy Me” for Spotify Singles x Are & Be, in celebration of the 50th anniversary of Gaye’s legendary What’s Going On album. Daye was the third artist, behind Giveon and Chloe x Halle, to record an Are & Be-playlist-branded Spotify single.

Commemorating the release of “Over” on Instagram, Jordyn Woods wrote, “I always have the best time creating art with amazing people!! P.S. I know some of y’all will ask me if I’m still making music and the answer is yes, just not sure when I’ll release it🥲.”
