Prolific producer Kenny Beats has dropped his debut solo album, Louie, which features contributions from some of his frequent collaborators.

Created over the course of one month last year, Louie sees Kenny take the spotlight after producing for some of the biggest and most exciting names in the music industry. Showcasing the breadth of his talents, the record features contributions from the likes of Mac DeMarco, Pink Siifu, Omar Apollo, Thundercat, Slowthai, and Vince Staples among others.

Among the guests, Slowthai, JPEGMAFIA, and Benny Sings notably show up for more vocal-driven tracks such as “Family Tree” and “Still.” Running a lean 33 minutes, the personal project is Kenny’s first with XL Recordings. Upon its release, he shared a thank you note to everyone who worked on it and encouraged him to share it with others. As he previously revealed, Louie was created after he learned his father was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer.

To coincide with the release of Louie, Kenny is set to perform at New York City’s Summerstage alongside special guests including Slowthai. He’s also going to play shows at Ill Points Festival in Miami this October, and The Shrine in Los Angeles this November.
