Justin Bieber appeared to be fooled by a deepfake video of Tom Cruise, before he realized that the version he was watching wasn't actually Cruise.

The Tom Cruise deepfake strikes again.

Justin Bieber appeared to be the latest victim of the Cruise deepfake that has been taking over TikTok for several months now. But unlike everyone else who was fooled by fake Tom a few months back, the Biebs tried to pick a fight with the guy… jokingly, of course.

Bieber took to his Instagram Stories on Thursday to share a clip of the deepfake showing off some guitar playing skills. Bieber tagged the real Tom Cruise to write that he’s impressed with his “guitar skills.”

“But you could still catch these hands my boy,” Bieber added, calling back to his previous proposals of a fight with the Mission Impossible actor.

It didn’t stop there, as Bieber continued to go at the deepfake—which is a product of creator Chris Ume and impersonator Miles Fisher—while picking up his own guitar to seemingly poke some fun at Tom in his Instagram Stories.

Somebody appears to have eventually told the Biebs that it wasn’t the actual Tom Cruise who he was challenging, which he took in stride, writing “That’s not really Tom Cruise? Lol, oh well, still hilarious.”

We’d have to agree.
