A Miami Gardens, Florida restaurant where French Montana was reportedly filming a video on Thursday night turned into the scene of a shooting.

UPDATED 1/7/23, 7:04 p.m. ET: Newly surfaced video has shed more light on a French Montana-involved shooting.

The footage, obtained by TMZ, shows Montana inside a Miami Gardens’ KFC just moments after gunfire erupted. The outlet reports shots rang out while French and his crew were at The Licking restaurant to celebrate his new project Coke Boys 6: Money Heist Edition. Authorities say 10 people were injured during the shooting, which was reportedly sparked by an attempted robbery. Moments later, French and his team then ran into a nearby KFC to take cover.

The five-second video captured the Moroccan-American rapper and others standing in the KFC while looking out the window.

A spokesperson for French said all the victims were expected to survive, including the rapper’s bodyguard.

A Miami Gardens restaurant where French Montana was reportedly filming a music video on Thursday night turned into the scene of a shooting. All told, 10 people were injured at an establishment called The Licking.

“Rapper Ced Mogul told NBC 6 he was at the video shoot behind a nearby KFC, where someone was robbed,” reads one local report. “The shoot then moved to The Licking, where as many as nine people were shot, including rapper Rob49.”

Roughly 10 to 15 gunshots were allegedly heard.

WSVN notes, “Police said they believe the shooting was an isolated incident but have not provided further details about it or a possible gunman or gunmen, as they continue to investigate.”

CBS News reports that police confirmed six people were brought to hospitals—four of them by air rescue—and four others “drove themselves or had someone drive them to the hospital.”

“We’re still working [the scene]. Yeah, there’s multiple shots, there’s multiple cases,” Miami Gardens Police detective Diana Gorgue told WSVN. “We’re still working. We can’t confirm any numbers at this moment, because everything is still fresh, and they’re still investigating.”

The outlet says there are “three different crime scenes, but it’s unknown where the other two are.”
