He’s a famed grime producer, a music exec, an author and a BBC Radio 1Xtra host, but now—after co-hosting The Rap Game UK with Krept & Konan—DJ Target is fully stepping into the world of TV with his brand new show, Tonight With Target.

Making its big debut on BBC Three on September 3, Tonight With Target is a six-part series that aims to celebrate Black British music in all its glory, including exclusive cyphers and interviews with the best of the best in the scene. So far, the show has featured the likes of Ghetts, Little Simz, Jme, BackRoad Gee, Big Zuu, Lady Leshurr, WSTRN, M Huncho and M1llionz.

“Having been immersed in UK Black music culture since my early teens and being on-hand to witness the growth and evolution of the scene, I am ridiculously excited to be bringing this show to BBC Three,” the Grime Kids author said in a statement. “I want Tonight With Target to be the ultimate destination for music fans to enjoy amazing live music and special guests, as well as discovering brand new artists and hearing from figures from across music, sports, film and fashion.”

Tonight With Target shows a significant shift in how Black British culture is represented. The show is an authentic safe space for grime MCs, rappers and associated figures to discuss and celebrate the culture on a major network, which has never been done before on this scale.

New episodes of Tonight With Target are available every Friday on BBC Three/BBCiPlayer, and you can catch previously aired episodes here
