A recently surfaced clip of an alleged song-in-progress from the artist formerly known as Kanye West includes a mention of Pete Davidson, who’s been linked with Kim Kardashian across numerous headlines in recent months.

The alleged clip, which surfaced on Twitter and is claimed to stem from a Clubhouse session with Wack 100, appears to capture Ye delivering what sounds like:

“God saved me from that crash just so I could beat Pete Davidson’s ass”

A TMZ report on the clip links it to an upcoming track with the Game that’s tentatively titled “My Life Was Never Eazy,” though that hasn’t been confirmed. Additionally, it’s very likely (particularly given how rough the audio sounds) that the alleged line in question ends up on the cutting room floor before getting a formal release.

Complex has reached out to a rep for Ye for comment.

The Donda (and possible Donda 2) artist is currently linked with Julia Fox, an actress and artist whose breakout role was the part of Julia De Fiore in the Safdie brothers’ 2019 film Uncut Gems. Amid recent new music hype, Ye and Fox were pictured at Delilah in West Hollywood alongside Floyd Mayweather and Madonna, among others.

While many were quick to speculate about the nature of that meeting, Madonna (with whom Ye has collaborated before) offered some clarity, saying in an Instagram caption on Thursday that she “went to dinner with Julia to talk about my movie and some other folks showed up.” Presumably, this is a reference to Madonna’s previously announced biopic.
