It's Thursday, so that means it's time for yet another throwback freestyle from Tim Westwood's vault. The latest is a clip of Common rapping over the Diplomats' "Dipset Anthem" instrumental all the way back in 2003. Common's freestyle ability has never really been in question, but he especially went off here, with lines like, "Don't need no gun, I'm the son to shine/I take my time gotta make this rhyme, it's like a sacred time/Sort of divine the way I climb up the mountain/for the youth the truth I be the fountain." If you've been sleeping, Westwood has plenty of throwback gems on his page that you should check out.
