Lil Tjay dropped a new music video on Thursday, just one day after being released from Rikers Island.

The two-minute “Clutchin My Strap” includes footage from the artist’s Monday arrest on a gun possession charge. The JLShotThat-directed effort also shows Lil Tjay performing for huge crowds, working in the studio, rapping in the city, and getting some target practice in.

As the 21-year-old born Tione Jayden Merritt was riding to an Ice Spice video shoot in an SUV this week, police approached the vehicle as it was allegedly parked in a no-standing zone. Authorities said four loaded and unlicensed guns were discovered in a search, and Tjay and four other people were hit with possession charges.

Lil Tjay was arraigned in Bronx Criminal Court on Wednesday and ordered to be held on a $90,000 bond and $30,000 cash bail. Per official records, he then paid his bail and was released.

“Clutchin My Strap” isn’t the first footage of Tjay’s arrest to hit the internet, with social media users posting their own videos beforehand.
