Marvin Gaye's Son Denies His Dad Had Sex with Marlon Brando

Marvin Gaye's son says Quincy Jones is wrong about Marlon Brando and Gaye having sex.

Quincy Jones nearly broke the internet in an explosive interview with Vulture earlier this year, when he said Marlon Brando had sex with Marvin Gaye.

"Brando would fuck anything. Anything! He'd fuck a mailbox. James Baldwin. Richard Pryor. Marvin Gaye," he said. Richard Pryor's daughter, Rain, has since denied that it ever happened while Pryor's widow confirmed that it did occur.

Now Gaye's son, Marvin Gaye III, is denying Gaye and Brando had any sexual relations.

"We didn't really think too much about it because we know the facts. My dad was a ladies man. Everybody loved my dad but my dad didn't have anything against homosexuals," Gaye III, speaking for himself and his family,  told TMZ. "He was about love. I think he would have laughed it off personally."

As for Jones, Gaye III accuses him of trying to stay relevant and alludes to Jones having memory issues.

"Quincy and my dad were friends for many of many of years and I just felt sorry that Quincy felt the need to keep his relevance in that manner," said Gaye III. "And I also understand the fact that he's having some issue with his memory and stuff." Although, he also referred to Jones as a "great man."

Jones has since apologized for his statements but did not recant them.

"When you've been fortunate enough to have lived such a long & crazy life (& you've recently stopped drinking—three years ago!), certain details about specific events (which do NOT paint the full picture of my intentions nor experience) come flooding back all at once, & and even at 85, it's apparent that 'wordvomit' & bad-mouthing is inexcusable," read Jones' apology.

Watch Gaye III deny Jones' story above.
