YG Charged With Felony Robbery for Allegedly Yanking Chain Off Dude's Neck

Blah blah blah. YG's new album 'Stay Dangerous' is out Aug. 3 and will be celebrated with a special fashion show and concert at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles.

YG has been hit with a felony robbery charge for allegedly snatching a chain off the neck of some guy who had the audacity to question the validity of his celebrity status.

The Stay Dangerous auteur turned himself in to Las Vegas authorities after an arrest warrant was issued Thursday, TMZ annoyingly reported. After posting $20,000 bail, YG was released. Per police, the chain snatching is alleged to have taken place back in May at the Cosmopolitan. Sources claim there's footage of at least a portion of the encounter, which reportedly began with the guy in question asking for a pic at 4 a.m. in the morning.

When YG's team declined the photo request, the photo-seeker allegedly "told YG he's not a real celeb," at which point the chain was snatched and fell to the floor. YG is then said to have grabbed the pendant—with an estimated value as high as $9,000—before exiting the premises.

This is the same guy who was reported back in June to be suing YG for $250,000 for assault, battery, and theft. Initial reports of the suit claimed that YG had been accused of ordering his team to punch him in the face and hold him down. The Cosmopolitan has also reportedly been sued, with the guy claiming their security presence was "inadequate" at the time of the incident.

At any rate, YG's new album Stay Dangerous is out Aug. 3 and should do a fine job of soundtracking the rest of my year. The album, YG's first studio release since his excellent 2016 album Still Brazy, will be celebrated with a special fashion show and concert experience Aug. 5 at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles.
