Ultimately, only two things are considered true constants in modern American society: bafflingly homophobic Westboro Baptist Church protesters and the reliably awesome Foo Fighters. On Friday, Dave Grohl and company took their distinctive brand of internet-ready playful activism to the streets of Kansas City, Missouri for a glorious intervention of the greatest foo known to mankind: stupid people.
The hate group targeted a Foo Fighters show at Sprint Center in Kansas City, leaving the band no choice but to summon the powers of a well-crated Rickroll:
Of course, the (apparently jobless?) idiots of Westboro are certainly not strangers to annoyingly showing up at concerts and unknowingly embodying walking memes aimed at highlighting the angering preposterousness of homophobia. In the past, the laughably tiny group has set up their circus of ignorance outside shows from Marilyn Manson, Lady Gaga, Kanye West, and many more.
Thankfully, someone is out here fighting their nonsensical foo.
