Post Malone, the self-proclaimed "biggest Bud Light advocate in the whole universe," brought both Bud Light and some new album tidbits to Tuesday'sTonight Show proceedings.
Speaking with host Jimmy Fallon, who previously had Post on the show to show him "the ways of the truth" via Olive Garden, Post reiterated his recent Bud Light Dive Bar Tour announcement that his "Goodbyes"-featuring Beerbongs & Bentleys follow-up would be arriving at some point in September.
"It's completed," he said. "Third album's done, if anybody cares. It'll be September. It's exciting, you know, because it's a long process that goes into it but, you know, finally towards the end we just kinda rallied and just made it work which is exciting for me."
Asked to detail his songwriting process, Malone cast a vote for the impromptu, beer-assisted melody approach. "Usually I just go in and have an abnormal amount of Bud Light and go into the booth and just kinda sing over beats and wait until I find a good melody and sit down and write it," he said. "And we've done that probably 100 times, and then [we] just shift through 'em and see which ones are smash hits."
This year's Posty Fest, announced back in July, also got a location confirmation during Tuesday's show.
"We're doing it at AT&T Stadium, where god's favorite football team plays, the Dallas Cowboys," Malone told Fallon.
In addition to the couch sit-down, Post and Fallon squared off for a round of beer pong and dueted on a rendition of the Dubliners' "Seven Drunken Nights."
As highlighted mid-pong, a special Bud Light can boasting Malone's face now exists:
Anyway, Wednesdays are generally reserved for the week's most taxing interactions with society. Use all this as inspiration to have a beer or three before lunch.
