Rihanna, fresh off debuting her historic luxury Fenty line in Paris and being named the richest woman musician by Forbes, was met with tabloid claims earlier this week revolving around the renting of an entire island for new album sessions. Now, the management of said island has issued a statement disputing exactly that.

Osea Island management, per BBC Essex, said Wednesday the claims had them "scratching their heads" in confusion.

"We've had no contact with her or her management,"a rep is said to have clarified, notably in response to a previous Mirror report alleging that Rihanna had rented the "entire English island as [a] hideaway to record new music."

In the now-disputed report, the Blackwater River-located island was described as having been equipped with a "state-of-the-art studio" for supposed R9 sessions.

While R9 hasn't officially been announced as the upcoming new album's name, Rihanna did tell T Magazinein May that it was a likely contender thanks to it being so widely used among fans. "How will I accept another name after that's been burned into my skull?" she said of the confirmed reggae album.

In January, Rihanna marked the three-year anniversary of Anti, her critically acclaimed eighth album that's notably comprised of songs that definitely still hold up in heavy rotation today.
