Megan Thee Stallion is launching a new nonprofit organization named after her late parents, with the Something for Thee Hotties artist saying the foundation marks one of the “most significant endeavors” of her career.

The Pete and Thomas Foundation, per a press release, is aimed at uplifting and helping women, children, senior citizens, and underserved areas in Houston and beyond.

“Launching the Pete and Thomas Foundation is easily one of the most significant endeavors that I’ll ever be part of in my career,” Megan said in a statement released Tuesday. “My family raised me to help others and give back, so I’m incredibly proud to be in a position to accomplish that goal. I have a responsibility to use my platform to make a meaningful impact in the lives of those who may not have access to resources and support services.”

While the nonprofit is designed to have an expansive presence by way of assisting other similarly aligned organizations, the Pete and Thomas Foundation carries it with a three-part approach broken down into education, housing, and health/wellness.

The education component will include a variety of support-minded pushes, including scholarships and additional resources for those in underserved regions. Housing, meanwhile, will see the Pete and Thomas Foundation team putting in the work to address the housing issues that face many senior citizens and single mothers who may be affected by “financial emergencies and natural disasters.” Lastly, the foundation’s health and wellness efforts will include assistance in the areas of mental health, food insecurity, and cancer care.

Fans looking to gain greater insight into Megan’s plans for the newly unveiled Pete and Thomas Foundation can hit up the nonprofit’s official website, the landing page for which features family photos in remembrance of Megan’s parents Joseph Pete Jr. and Holly Thomas.

Notably, the day of the foundation’s unveiling—Feb. 15—marks Megan’s birthday. To further honor her parents’ memory, the three-time Grammy winner surprised a student, a cancer survivor, and a senior citizen with financial assistance on the same day as her 27th birthday.

As fans will recall, Megan was honored last December with the 18th Congressional District of Texas Hero Award, a distinction she dedicated to her late grandmother. “She taught me to be the woman I am today,” Megan said when accepting the award from Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee.
