Mac Miller has been formally charged with a DUI for a one-car crash in the San Fernando Valley.
Miller was charged by the Los Angeles City Attorney's Office Monday with two counts of DUI, according to a TMZ report. One charge stems from the act of driving under the influence, while the other is pinned to his blood alcohol content being above .08. Though Miller was originally booked with an additional hit-and-run charge, that one didn't stick.
Back in May, Miller was behind the wheel of a 2016 G-Wagon in the San Fernando Valley when hit a utility pole and knocked it over. Miller then fled the scene with the two passengers before a witness notified police, at which point a license plate check revealed his home address. Once cops arrived at Miller's residence, he reportedly confessed to both driving while intoxicated and attempting to leave the scene.
Though a conviction on these charges could result in jail time, it's more likely that Miller will be given some combination of probation and community service, as well as the suspension of his license privileges.
Also on Monday, Miller linked with previous collaborator Thelonious Martin for a new one-off titled "Guidelines." The collab arrives less than a month after the release of Miller's excellent new album Swimming, which he's slated to take on the road alongside Thundercat and J.I.D starting in October.
