Drake's Aubrey and the Three Migos tour resumed its U.S. run Monday night with a stop at the Smoothie King Center in New Orleans. As we should have expected, Drake gave fans something special by inviting both Big Freedia and City Girls' Yung Miami to the stage during his headlining set.
"Tonight was amazing," Freedia, who appears on the Scorpion cut "Nice for What," said on Instagram early Tuesday morning. "Thank you @champagnepapi for allowing me to do my thang on stage with you tonight!" In her own post, Miami said she was "humbled and blessed" by the chance to join her "In My Feelings" collaborator on stage.
Drake also brought out 5th Ward Weebie and Alvin Kamara during his set.
The New Orleans show marks the tour's official return to normalcy after a pair of Miami dates were postponed. Initial reports placed the blame of the decision on more production-related issues, though Drake later clarified that he had temporarily fallen ill and needed recovery time.
"I got so ill so fast and I had never experiencing anything like that in my life," he later clarified to fans. "Unlike other show cancellations or date adjustments due to production issues, this one fell on me and I just want to apologize because I hate letting down anyone who [comes] to share these moments with us."
