Coi Leray continues her recent prolific streak with two new songs this week, including the “It’s My Party”-interpolating “My Body.”

The song was preceded on Thursday with “Bops,” the release of which was commemorated with an Apple Music 1 chat with Eddie Francis. During the conversation, Leray spoke at length about her upcoming follow-up to last year’s Trendsetter album, calling it “one of the biggest projects ever.”

According to Leray, fans can expect only “a couple features,” with the focus instead remaining on herself.

“I feel like a lot of the headlines kind of overshadow my true talent and what God really brought me here to do,” she said. “So I just can’t wait because this album’s going to show that. … And also the second album’s going to make people go back to Trendsetter and make them actually appreciate it for the music instead of the bullshit and the negative headlines and Coi Leray always being the topic. This album is all about me.”

On the topic of headlines, Leray and Latto were both recently sharing such space due to a line from the former’s “Put It On Da Floor” track. In the song, Latto raps, “Smoking’ on that gas, blunt big as Coi Leray.” However, the two have since confirmed that all is well between them both despite the initial confusion over the lyrics.

Latto, for example, shouted out Leray during her recent Coachella set.

“Much love to Latto!” Leray later said in response to the onstage shoutout. “Appreciate the compliment.”
