André 3000 makes a rare guest appearance on the latest track from Killer Mike, whose new album Michael is out this Friday.

André provides the track’s first verse, using his contributions to Mike’s latest to reflect on his desire to be “80 [years old] when I get my second wind.” The late Duke Ellington, notably, also gets a fitting shoutout.

Below, hear 3 Stacks on the just-released “Scientists & Engineers” alongside Future and Eryn Allen Kane.

As fans will note, 3 Stacks is very selective with his features. The last time he showed up in this capacity was on the artist formerly known as Kanye West’s Donda (Deluxe) single “Life of the Party” in 2021. The track received significant news attention, including the manner in which it was initially surfaced to the public. André’s contributions to the Ye cut are inspiringly vulnerable, with the Outkast co-founder reflecting on legacy and mortality with a remarkable openness.

More recently, André 3000 was spotted with his signature flute in Japan. He can also currently be seen in the acclaimed A24 film Showing Up, which is now available to own via the usual VOD platforms.
