Crowning off another packed New Music Friday of UK rap releases, J Spades once again flies the flag for East London, adding a shiny fourth installment to his acclaimed mixtape series More Money More Pagans. Nearly seven years on from the first, J Spades has rightly identified his elements and how to produce his best with them — outlining this trusted formula from the start with the track "Tradition".
The rest of MMMP4 follows on from there: suitably laced with booming bass and trap drums, combined with Spades' anthemic hooks. The sole rap feature belongs to Uncle Murda on "Fire Over Water", and it's a tight exchange of styles from underground cult-heroes on both sides of the Atlantic. Singers Donae'O, Vershon and Fabian Secon also feature, adding their unique flavours to the mix.
