One of the best-loved songs of the year is about to get even more love.
Nicki Minaj has hopped on ASAP Ferg's massive hit "Plain Jane," giving a whole new spin to Ferg's Three 6 Mafia-inspired smash. You can hear the results above.
Nicki begins her contribution with the same line as the song's original second verse, but takes it unexpected places from there. She manages a Tidal plug, a nod to one of the Notorious B.I.G.'s greatest songs ("I go hard in the booth/Biggie vibes, gimme the loot"), K-Solo-style spelling instructions, and a tribute to Lupita Nyong'o's hair, all in a single 16-bar verse.
"Plain Jane" was the lead single from Ferg's Still Striving. Most recently, the Hood Pope teamed up with DJ Premier for "Our Streets" and its accompanying video. "It's fucking huge, man. It's like, now I can say I'm a rapper," Ferg told Complex about working with the legendary producer.
