Even though “Cheque Came” is still on rotation, treasured London rapper and House Of Pharaohs member Sam Wise has wasted no time, blessing us with his latest project Free Game.

On Free Game, Sam Wise—ever true to his last name—shapeshifts between lyrical poet, trap cowboy, and party-starter with ease. Lord Apex, Knucks, Swift, Yung Fume, Jesse James Solomon, Mr Iamnext and Camille Munn all feature on the 13-tracker, with production coming in from the likes of Archie Cardella (“Carousel”), Jamo Beatz (“Pay Up Or Lay Down”) and DSharp (“Coming Back”). Arguably one of Brit-rap’s most versatile offerings this year, Sam Wise was truly in his bag when he created this.

Speaking about the new project, Sam Wise said: “I just wanted to put out something fresh and put out music that I’d been working on. I worked with a range of different producers on the tape, different periods of time, and I guess there’s a range of influences in the sound. You can hear the trap influences and there’s also boom-bap rap. Just a wide range, but you get those cool samples, as always, some nice synths and live instruments in there as well. The whole thing feels quite fresh but familiar, and that’s what I was going for with Free Game. I wanted to give my fans something to enjoy, most of all, and if you walk away inspired as well, that’s even better.”
