Young Thug has gotten himself another top five album after his latest project, Business is Business, debuted at No. 2, according to HITS Daily Double.

The album sold 88,000 copies in its first week, giving Thugger second place behind Morgan Wallen's One Thing at a Time which retook the No. 1 spot for the fifteenth nonconsecutive week. Young Thug released Business is Business, his third studio album, on June 23 and boasts features from Drake, Future, 21 Savage, Travis Scott, Lil Uzi Vert, and more.

Young Thug now has his third consecutive top five album. His previous two efforts, Punk and So Much Fun, both debuted at No. 1. Business is Business is also his first full-length release since the Atlanta rap superstar was arrested on Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act (RICO) charges back in May 2022.

Due to being incarcerated on some pretty serious charges, fans were surprised when Thug began teasing the project teasing when he posted a mysterious QR code that directed followers to a countdown page. The clock was also shared by some of hip-hop's biggest names, including Drake, Chance the Rapper, 21 Savage, and G Herbo.

Earlier this week, Young Thug and Metro Boomin released an alternate version of Business is Business. This version contained a few changes, such as features from Nicki Minaj and the late Juice WRLD, as well as adding another song and a new track arrangement, different from what was originally released.

According to a tweet from the Grammy Award-winning producer, this iteration of the album was his vision: "This is the tracklist and sequence I originally envisioned for this album."

While Thug didn't quite give hip-hop its first No. 1 album of 2023, Lil Uzi Vert's Pink Tape has the potential to make it to the top. According to Chart Data, they expect the album to go No. 1.
