UPDATED 10/21/23, 10:40 a.m. ET: NLE Choppa is safe. The rapper's mother Angela Potts shared an update hours after sharing a concerning message regarding her son.

"Choppa's ok he just needed a minute, but didn't communicate it to his love [sic] ones. I never intended to scare anyone with my post nor did I expect for people to think he is missing," she wrote. "But the frustrations of being the mother of a celebrity can be a bit much and overwhelming at times."

You can read her post, which was shared to Choppa's IG page, below.

NLE Choppa's mother is concerned about her son's safety after she hasn't heard from him for hours.

On Friday, NLE's mom, Angela Potts, took to her Instagram account with a post showing several pictures of herself and her son throughout the years while asking fans for help in finding him. According to Potts, Choppa was going to move back to his old neighborhood in Memphis, Tennessee, to work on a mixtape, and she's concerned something could have happened to him since he never goes an extended amount of time without speaking to her.

"Y'all help me pray over my child," Choppa's mom wrote. "He plans on moving back to Cottonwood where we worked hard to get out of just for a mixtape SMH! I ain't talked to this boy in hours and he usually doesn't do this. One thing I know about my son is that he doesn't go ghost for any reason."

She continued, "Whatever your working on I pray GOD is guiding you. If y'all hear from him PLEASE CONTACT ME ASAP ! To the fans he wants to please thanks a lot 🤦‍♀️🙏🏽😢"

A message was also posted to NLE's Instagram Stories and X (formerly known as Twitter) account that asks for people to contact Potts if they know of Choppa's whereabouts. "Contact @angeletapotts if Choppa is heard from ! -management," the message reads.

On Thursday, Choppa retweeted a few year-old posts from fans who claimed he fell off and wanted the "old NLE." In response, the rapper warned those who felt he had lost his touch.

"Y'all keep asking for old NLE like the music I ain't been giving y'all recently ain't getting plaques," he said. "I'm tryna grow as a artist but y'all want me backtracking on BS. But bet that up. I'm on straight dirt y'all got me fucked up. One of the most streamed artists this year BUT BET."
