On last night’s episode of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Joey Badass brought out Montreal band Men I Trust to perform “Show Me” from his album 2000.

While singer Emmanuelle Proulx didn’t actively feature on the track – producers Statik Selektah and Heavy Mellow sampled Men I Trust’s 2018 song “Show Me How” on the chorus – she appeared alongside Badass to perform her part. The remaining band members, Jessy Caron, and Dragos Chiriac, also appeared on stage to play the original song’s instrumental while Badass rapped his verses.

Though Men I Trust hasn’t released an album since their 2021 effort Untourable Album, they’ve (ironically) embarked on a tour covering over a dozen American cities through November and December. They have since released three singles in 2022. Their latest track “Girl” was released on Oct. 12.

Joey Badass recently concluded the American and Canadian legs of his tour promoting 2000 where he stopped in Vancouver, Toronto, and Montreal. 2000, the album on which “Show Me” appears came out back in July. On the opening track “The Boldest,” Badass claimed he was among the best emcees along with Kendrick Lamar and J. Cole.
