7ieme Ciel Records 20 Year Anniversary

7ième Ciel Records, the Quebec rap label responsible for signing artists like Fouki, Souldia, and Koriass, will be celebrating its 20-year anniversary on Nov 10 at the Bell Centre in Montreal.

The event, titled 20 ans d’ascension, will feature performances from artists the label has signed over the years. Among the invited artists are Fouki, Alaclair Ensemble, Souldia, Shreez, KNLO, Manu Militari, and many more who have yet to be named.

Steve Jolin, more commonly known as rapper Anodajay, founded 7ième Ciel Records in 2003 in an effort to highlight more Quebec hip-hop acts as the genre became more popular in the province. Jolin would go on to drop his first album, Prime VII, on the label that same year. He would go on to sign artists like Samian and Dramatik early on before a new wave of Quebecois rappers would hop onto the scene like Fouki and Souldia.

Recently, Fouki has seen his own fair share of success, having just headlined his own arena show at Place Bell in Laval on Apr 8. His performance comes fresh off the heels of his latest album Zayon which dropped in February. He is set to perform at Centre Vidéotron in Quebec City on Apr 22.
