Montreal rapper Skiifall is back with a new track and video. His latest single “Left The Trenches” chronicles his upbringing in his verses before transitioning to what is yet to come heading into 2024.
The track was produced by his day one collaborator Yama//sato. The Canadian artist's raw sound is brought to life in this two-minute record, uplifting his harmonic bars.
The music video was captured by director Aimé Irabahaye, with the support of Moose Knuckles Heatmakers and Prism Prize Video Production Grant.
This single is the follow up to Skiifall's most recent EP, Woiiyoie Vol. 2 - Intense City. The album features some of his most prominent singles to date "Yuteman Denis" with Charlotte Cardin and "Fam Without Blood" co-produced by WondaGurl.
While balancing his gritty approach and rapping about his Saint-Vincent roots, he also tackles the violent relationship between Black communities and law enforcement throughout the album.
