Drake's reign on the Hot 100 has finally ended, but it didn't come to a close without breaking a few records along the way. After eight consecutive years (and change) with a song on the Billboard chart, it's finally time for him to let someone else get some shine.

Starting with "Best I Ever Had" in 2009 and ending with a 20-week run for "Passionfruit" in 2017, Drake is now arguably the most consistent hitmaker in the history of Billboard tracking. It has been a long time since he achieved the feat of being in the Hot 100 for the first time; back in the year this run started, Eminem had just released his controversial Relapse album, and Jay Z was only just in the process of leaving Def Jam to set off on his own.

155 Hot 100 hits later, Drake can start a new streak, and look back on what he accomplished with a lot of pride. Check out the video above, which puts the achievement in perspective and takes you on a journey alongside Drake over the last eight years, breaking it down in just under two minutes.
