Over the Labor Day weekend, Fool's Gold got lit with two Day Off shows: one in Atlanta, the other taking it back to Brooklyn. This weekend, they squad heads to Miami for a MASSIVE party featuring the likes of Flosstradamus, A-Trak, Vic Mensa, Laidback Luke, Alison Wonderland, Rome Fortune, Post Malone, Mannie Fresh(!), D.R.A.M., and more, including Vancouver's Sleepy Tom, who has spent the last few years truly making a name for himself. Whether it's recent collaborations with Diplo, remixing Martin Solveig, or beautiful work with Anna Lunoe (like their single "Pusher"), dude's name should be on the tip of your lips when it comes to the future of electronic music.
Another must-hear series has been Sleepy Tom's PILLOWCAST mix series, which has been consistent heat. To coincide with his appearance at Fool's Gold Day Off in Miami this weekend, Sleepy Tom dug deep into the archives for this high-energy selection. He dips through a number of styles, touching not only on material from the Fool's Gold squad (including material from Shash'U, Gladiator, Oliver, and more), but pulling out material from Fool's Gold days of old like The Count & Sinden's "Mega," Nacho Lovers' "Deeper," and more. He also makes sure to include the fire Branchez take on his Anna Lunoe collab "Pusher" to end this high octane set. As summer winds down, this mix could become the soundtrack to those last few summer excursions.
