Premiere: P Money (And Alter-Ego Hyde) Launches New Label With Pharoah’s “Like Dem Man”
The first release from Mandem Worldwide Recordings.
Today marks the official launch of Mandem Worldwide Recordings, a new label from famed grime MC P Money. The Lewisham-born don launches the imprint with "Like Dem Man", a new offering from fellow South Londoner Pharoah, which features bars from the boss man himself.
P Money explained to us that he's "known Pharaoh for years, and, recently, I've seen he's been taking music a lot more seriously. After hearing him on 'Dunno' produced by Novelist last year, I remixed my own version with Pharoah and featured my alter-ego, Hyde, for the very first time."
"Like Dem Man" sees Pharoah and Hyde lace Novelist's syncopated percussion and explosive bass, with patois-tinged flows; Pharoah initiates the cut with his smooth stylings, all before P Money arrives with his signature style and finishes under his darker Hyde moniker, resulting in raucous grime offering.
