One of the leaders of today's Afroswing movement, Naira Marley is ready to solidify his place in the scene as he delivers the video for new single "JAPA". The Nigerian-born, Peckham-raised artist first madewaves back in 2014 with the song "Marry Juana", which many believe sparked the Afrobeats-rap explosion that we are currently seeing. Mixing gully bars with Future-inspired melodies and pop sensibilities, Naira's take on the popular West African sound is a wholly unique one — and the reason why he was recently signed to MOVES Recordings.

On "JAPA", we see all of the above in full effect as Marley rides the feel-good production with ease. "I made this track out in Nigeria with a producer by the name of DJ Rexxie," he told Complex. "He came to my apartment to make it, and the song explains why I really flew back to Nigeria. It was my real-life story at the time when I made it." In the Visionnaire-directed visuals, Naira Marley shows off his acting chops as he tries to get away from the police. Watch exclusively above and expect to see and hear Naira everywhere in 2019.
