Lil Mosey has been found not guilty of rape.

Mosey and an associate named Joshua Darrow, who goes by Band Kid Jay, were facing second-degree rape charges stemming from an alleged incident during a party in Randle, Washington in 2021.

The accuser alleges she went with an unidentified friend to meet the now-21-year-old Seattle rapper at a cabin where the two engaged in consensual sex. She claims to have blacked out at one point, and woken up with Mosey pulling her legs apart to have sex with her again.

Mosey was ordered ahead of the trial to stay 500 feet away from his accuser, maintain complete sobriety, and surrender any firearms in his possession.

XXL obtained a statement from Lil Mosey’s attorney Shane O’Rourke in response to the jury’s verdict.

“Mosey maintained his innocence from the start and has now been cleared of all charges. He voluntarily submitted to two lie detector tests and passed each of them prior to trial,” O’Rourke said. “The prosecutors were unwilling to accept the evidence of his innocence after two years of investigation and proof. Mosey has been completely vindicated and didn’t deserve to ever be prosecuted.”

Lil Mosey posted a short video on Instagram earlier today.

“Spent 2 years of my life going thru the storm and I’m happy to say that God finally brought the truth to light. Thank you,” he wrote.

Mosey faced a maximum of life in prison, if found guilty.
