UK hip-hop four-piece The Age Of Luna could not have released this video at a better time. With the tragic passing of Tribe's Phife Dawg still fresh in our minds, a big dose of low-slung, jazzy hip-hop could not be more welcome. That's not to say there's nothing new here—in fact, T.A.O.L. have taken those funk and jazz inflections, and the bouncy low-end, and thrown it into a more contemporary setting. There are also elements of soul (heard principally in Daniella's arresting vocals) and conscious hip-hop that can be heard, but it's all been put together in a new setting, with a new formula.

"'Blow Me Away' is about meeting someone with an intimate connection and thinking you have the upper hand," they explained via email. "But actually they blow you away more than anything." For anyone trying to complain that modern hip-hop is less lyrical, take a minute to really listen to what MCs Butch and Kyote can do on the mic.
