The early stages of a romance can be an exciting time, but it's also worth checking yourself occasionally to make sure you don't get yourself too carried away. It's a fine balance to strike, but that's exactly what Montreal via Quebec City artist Sophia Bel is trying to do on her ethereal new pop number "Don't Forget".

Capturing the dizzying state of constant euphoria you can find yourself in, Sophia uses her dreamy vocals to tell her tale, while the modest but potent production behind her keeps the track driving forward. It's unashamedly romantic, with the Canadian singer wearing her heart firmly on her sleeve throughout, but it's a very relatable state of being; let's just hope it ends well for her.

Speaking with Complex via email, Sophia told us: "'Don't Forget' is an expression of love at its ambiguous, beginning stage. An enveloping music with an air of confidence. Avril Lavigne and Dido are the names that come to mind when thinking of influences."
