[ K S R ] CGWY

In the last few years, Moss Side singer-songwriter [K S R] has emerged as a formidable talent in the UK’s R&B scene. Continuing in the same tradition that gave us Children Of Zeus, [K S R] has found close allies and label mates in his fellow Mancunians and today he’s releasing a new single that reworks “Get What’s Yours”, which Konny Kon and Tyler Daley released last year into “CGWY”.

[K S R] has a long-standing relationship with CoZ, having worked with the Mancunian soul boys a few times over the past few years, including making a standout appearance on their debut album, Travel Light, alongside Kon’s former Broke ‘n’ £nglish teammate, DRS.

Taking the neo-soul-meets-rap crispness of the original, [K S R]’s contribution maintains the spirit of the original, but there’s a hazy, almost muted quality to this one. As with everything that comes from both CoZ and [K S R], it’s a slow burner, but a rewarding one.

Ahead of the release tomrrow, October 29, hit play below and pre-order the track here.
