After some time away, East London-hailing Halo is officially back and he’s dropped new single “Who’s Halo?” to reintroduce himself.

A highly rated MC from the grime scene of the mid-2010s, Halo more than earned his stripes before going away, stacking up an impressive stack of releases and freestyles before his rise was cut short. This new era, Halo 2.0, sees the seasoned barrer take on a bassy drill riddim from Diamondz, but there’s still an unmistakable grimey edge to his flow and delivery.

Judging by his Instagram, Halo has been working on a lot more than just the one single. Recent posts have seen him connecting in the studio with D Double E, Ghetts, Slim, Sir Spyro, Bandokay, M1OnTheBeat and many more. Whether or not he worked on any music with any of them remains to be seen, but we can at least be certain there’s plenty more on the way.

For now, peep the visuals for “Who’s Halo?” above and be sure to add the song to your playlists.
