It wasn't that long ago Rusko dropped his ! EP, in which he explored chiptune and neon soundscapes more then ever before. Now he's upping the ante even more with the announcement of a second volume in his ! EP series. To kick things off, Rusko dropped the first single from the EP, a collaboration with Pusher called "I Wanna Mingle." It'd be easy to just say this sounds like it belongs in a Nintendo game of yesteryear, but the track also feels like potentially more. I'm admittedly not entirely familiar with the anime music and k-pop scenes in the far east, but I can't help feel that this is influenced by those sounds. The drums on this are crisp as well with changing rhythms and a happy-go-lucky type of feel. It's a track that has my interest piqued for Rusko's new EP and his continually evolving career arc. The EP, which will feature six total tracks and be released via Universal/FMLY on September 16.
