Cordae is on top of the world in the visuals for his new single “Super,” off his upcoming album, From A Bird’s Eye View.
Directed by Arrad, we follow Cordae through city blocks, classrooms, crowds, and sky roofs, as he spits about all the ways he’s doper than his competition. From being able to talk to Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey whenever he wants, to receiving massive checks from Coca-Cola that make him not have to rely on live performing, Cordae is embracing the success he’s achieved so far.
The young rapper even addresses why he dropped the “YBN” in his stage name. “N***as asking why I dropped the ‘YBN/ I had no other choice cause we ain’t own the shit,” he raps. The bars are also amplified by the young rapper’s impressive wordplay, utilizing his clever metaphors and pairing them with captivating visuals.
From A Bird’s Eye View is the long-awaited follow-up to Cordae’s 2019 debut The Lost Boy. The new album hasn’t received an official release date yet, but based on the bars that Cordae is delivering here, it’s to be expected that his full-length offering will provide much of the same. Cordae also recently joined social media personality Adin Ross on his Twitch stream to spit a hot freestyle over Drake’s “Way 2 Sexy” beat.
