Earlier this week, 2 Chainz was reportedly robbed at gunpoint in San Francisco for his cell phone and wallet. Although there was conflicting reports and Chainz went on Twitter to deny being robbed, today TMZ has unearthed footage of Chainz allegedly getting jacked.
In the grainy video, you can see Chainz casually walking down the street in board daylight with his crew when a gunman runs up on him. Chainz and his entourage flee the scene and almost get away, but towards the end you can see Chainz stumble and fall which is when he was likely robbed for his cell phone and wallet.
A few things of note in this video: 1) Seeing the gunman skip towards Chainz at about the :15 second mark is kind of nuts. 2) How crazy is it that they just run up on Chainz in broad daylight? 3) This is proof we're really living in the Big Brother state. Nowadays, every time there's some heinous crime, surveillance footage of it inevitably seems to pop up. It'd be one thing if there was only one clip of Chainz, but there's two cameras. Feds watchin' indeed.
The artist formerly known as Tity Boi is having the worst week ever. Not only did he get robbed, but he was also arrested at LAX airport for marijuana possession but released shortly thereafter.

Update: 2 Chainz's Security Guard Talks About Robbery
Earlier today, 2 Chainz's security guard Harold “Hammer Strength” Folsom called into Columbus, Ohio radio station Power 107.5 and discussed the robbery. He admitted that Chainz was in fact robbed.
Folsom explained the situation saying:
Folsom went on to say that they knew the robbery was a set up which is why they didn't bother to deal with the police.
