Serayah is a triple threat. An actress, singer, and model, the 22-year-old is best known for her role as Tiana Brown on Empire, but she also has a budding music career.
Last August, she began the rollout for her debut album with an addictive single called "Driving Me" that showed off an impressive vocal range and charismatic delivery. She followed that up with another strong single, "You Told Me," earlier this year, and now she's back with a gorgeous Kyle Dijamco-directed video for her new song "Going Through the Motions."
The slow-burning R&B cut gives Serayah a chance to show another side of herself following the upbeat pop sound of "Driving Me," as she works through emotionally-nuanced lyrics over production from Jabari Rayford and Percy Nesbary. Serayah explains, "'Going Through the Motions' is about being in a relationship that has issues and sometimes when your hurt you don’t know whether to leave or work it out."
She promises that more new music is on the way as her debut album approaches.
You can watch the premiere of her "Going Through the Motions" video above and grab the song on iTunes.
