Is Young Thug staging a return?
This month, rap fans have been treated to albums by Kendrick Lamar, Joey Badass, Playboi Carti, and Rich Homie Quan. Besides a few appearances on Drake’s More Life(“Sacrifices,” “Ice Melts”), the Atlanta rapper hasn’t done much since releasing Jeffery. It’s a bit peculiar considering Thugger once blessed us with multiple mixtapes in one year.
Thug released “Safe” back in February, and has just followed up with another single and video titled “All the Time.” Neither of these tracks are on an official project, but that shouldn’t stop his diehard fans from playing them on repeat. The Daps-directed clip for “All the Time" features Thugger, women, cars, lots of Louis Vuitton, inflatable swans, some very un-subtle product placement, and a live snake. What else do you need?
Whether this means Thug is working on a body of work remains to be seen, but we'll never complain about getting more music from him. Watch the video for "All the Time" above.
