Toronto's IVAN Only Has “Eyes For Her” on Debut Single

Toronto-based artist IVAN has released his debut single “Eyes For Her," written, produced, and arranged by IVAN himself with Nevon Sinclair’s background vocals.

Rising Toronto-based artist IVAN has just dropped his debut single, “Eyes For Her.” The new song was written, produced and arranged by IVAN himself with Nevon Sinclair, who previously worked with Daniel Caesar and Charlotte Day Wilson, on background vocals.

“Eyes For Her” brings together tradition and modernity with a contemporary sound and soulful vocals reminiscent of the past. IVAN demonstrates his range and musical wingspan. The song puts emotions at the forefront and carries out all elements of a classic love song.

“In a day and age where falling in love might not be ‘in’, ‘Eyes For Her’ is a song about falling head over heels for someone, and shouting it at the top of one’s lungs,” IVAN tells us. “Being in love and mesmerized by that special someone comes with its inherent risks, but so does everything worthwhile. I wrote this song wanting to bring back a feeling of that old school love, where having that special someone, and the joy that it brought alone, was worth it all.”

The single is the first drop of a five-song project. IVAN will be rolling out the remaining songs throughout the year.
