While out in Los Angeles, Drake stopped by Power 106 and was asked by radio host Big Boy about a number topics including his relationship with Nicki Minaj and Kendrick Lamar's "Control" verse.
Drake says something occurred between him and Nicki awhile back, which has since been cleared up. "I had done something that I had to just reevaluate and fix," he says. "We're good. We definitely talk. I saw her the other night and it's all love. I choose to express personal things in my music, and I don't ever do it with malice. I hope that when she hears that line she understands I'm saying she's necessary in my life and that I care about her."
Drake also touches on Kendrick's "Control" verse. "I'm probably as done as the rest of the world with that record. I think it came and went," he says. "Not to discredit it, it was a good moment. But at the end of the day it was one of those fleeting Twitter frenzies. It was cool for what it was."
