Swizz Beatz is gearing up for the release of his new album Poison on Nov. 2, which is set to include features from Young Thug, Jim Jones, Lil Wayne, Kendrick Lamar, Nas, Pusha T, and more.

In advance of the release, he and French Montana stopped by Funkmaster Flex’s show on Hot 97 for a freestyle, where they had their own individual hookahs and were dressed in matching Dapper Dan Gucci outfits. After the freestyle, the two Bronx natives previewed a new collaboration, where we hear verses from both artists, including French giving a shout-out to his friend, rapper Chinx, who passed away in 2015.

French is also working on the release of his currently untitled new album, where the Drake-assisted “No Stylist” acts as the first single.

It was recently revealed that J. Cole is set to be an executive producer on Swizz Beatz’s upcoming album. “He played the role of young mentor to me,” Swizz toldThe Fader. “I'm not too cool where I can't have a young mentor, being as I'm a young OG. One time, I was playing him songs from the album—before I had all these different sonic elements to the album, before separating them into four boxes.”

Swizz’s Poison will drop Nov. 2, more than 11 years after he shared his one and only solo album, One Man Band Man. The project will include guest appearances by Lil Wayne (“Pistol on My Side”), Kendrick Lamar (“Something Dirty/Pic Got Us”), Young Thug (“25 Soldiers”), and Pusha-T (“Cold Blooded”).
