In between shooting two television shows, working on a new album, and hosting the Grammy Awards for his fifth consecutive year, LL Cool J recently found time to chop it up with Complex News. The legendary entertainer shared his thoughts on the Grammys recognizing more hip-hop artists, a topic LL is well-versed in as he's won a few Grammys in his career. He specifically addressed Kendrick Lamar's 11 nominations with a lyrical reference to the Notorious B.I.G., saying, "Who ever thought that hip-hop could take it this far?"

LL also talked about the backlash that Beyoncé has received for her Super Bowl 50 halftime performance, and how the rap game has changed the way artists handle beef. There were certainly no Twitter fingers back when LL Cool J and Kool Moe Dee were trading shots on wax in 1987. Peep the video above for our in-depth interview.
