Standing on the Corner is back with a mid-week music release.
On Tuesday, the Earth-based art ensemble came through with "G-E-T-O-U-T!! The Ghetto," a multi-part single that features Pts. 1 & 2, "Ghetto Dub," and "Zolo Go." The release spans approximately 15 minutes in total, and comes nearly two months after the group shared the official music video for "Angel," directed by Gabriel Rodriguez-Fuller.
Shortly after the release, Standing on the Corner shared the following message in an Instagram story:
You can stream "G-E-T-O-U-T!! The Ghetto" now on Apple Music or via Spotify below. The ensemble is also releasing a limited art edition vinyl of "G-E-T-O-U-T!! The Ghetto." Proceeds from the limited edition copies, which available now for pre-sale, will benefit Therapy for Black Girls and Ancient Song Doula Services.
Following the release of "G-E-T-O-U-T!! The Ghetto," Standing on the Corner shared a supporting, 9-minute visual starring 7-year-old Star Annalise Chanel Renee Williams. The video features poetry by Carlos de Jesus, who also served as director.
A 12-inch vinyl of the single is available for pre-sale (and includes an exclusive track), with proceeds going toward Therapy for Black Girls and Ancient Song Doula Services.
